So 1 month in and I've realized that this whole photo challenge thing, isn't for me, nor for anyone else tring to run a business.. First off let me set the record straight that I WILL continue to post How-To's on photography projects of MY choice. However, I will no longer continue to do whatever some stupid piece of paper tells me in the small amount of time that it allots me every single week. I mean thats why we all left High School, right? I have a very high standard for the work that I like to show my viewers, and for me to put a large amount of...

If you're friends with me on my persoanl facebook, you'll know that I go all out with my self portraits. Well this time, in celebration of Valentine's Day, I did something a little different..

As you can see, I added my sister!

Kidding of course. That lovely lady in the picture with me is my Beautiful Girlfriend of 2 and a half years. Surprisingly it took us this long to finally take some pictures together. So kinda on a whim, we got all pretty looking, grabbed my camera and tripod, and headed to Fairmount Park in Riverside, CA. And even though she...

It took 4 freakin days to make this shot. Weather hasn't been the most predictable here in Southern California. Fortunately, luck was on my side and I woke up to a nice cloudy day, which was exactly what I needed for this shot.

On to the How-To. I grabbed a buddy of mine to model for me but it is possibly to model yourself as a tirpod will used anyway. Just much eas...

This weeks Photo Challenge is food! Didn't quite like this one either... But it's challenge! So I had to do it.

Today we have thinly sliced delicious Oranges, stacked onto one another on a black painted sheet of metal (Which is actually the detatchable side panel of my desktop computer). This one was a little more difficult and time consuming than last week's. Instead of natural light, I used my room's ceiling light as the main light, and a Speedlight with a warming filter (Orange peice of plastic) as an accent on the side.

I arranged my orang...

So I've decided to finally start a Weekly Photo Challenge (yes, I know, I'm very late in the game on this). But not just to showboat my awesomeness, to help anyone else out who is reading and interested in photography. Every week I'll be posting a new photo and how I created the photo. Settings, Lighting, Lens, etc. So without further ado..

Black & White

I hate Black & White Photography

Yup. It's boring and I get bitter over how someone can take a lame photo and "fix it" by making it grayscale and having all their friends rave about how beautiful a...
